Tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Jillian Ripplinger. I am a hairstylist of eight years in Regina, Sask. I’m very passionate about my job and its ability to help empower women and all its positive effects it can have on people and their own beauty.
Being that you’re in an industry that helps women feel beautiful, when do you feel the most beautiful?
I feel the most beautiful when I’m laughing. When people are happy.. they glow, radiate positivity. That is beautiful.
We’ve all had moments of feeling “Not enough” how do you get through yours?
I try and focus on gratitude when I’m not feeling enough. There is a lot of things I have accomplished that I’m not always mindful of. I’ve worked hard to get where I am In life, and I know things can always be a lot worse. If something isn’t working out to your plan it’s only because something better is approaching.
Who has been your biggest inspiration over the years and why?
I can’t say that I can pick just one person that I’m inspired by. A lot of people in my life have inspired me. I love meeting new people and seeing different perspectives, having an open mind with the world. From my best friend, to a stranger I just met.. People who can just be themselves inspire me.
What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in life so far?
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned so far is to always trust your intuition, be yourself. When you are you, you are the happiest, people recognize it and gravitate to you. I once read “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself”. Staying positive and confident with yourself is the ultimate success.
Advice for women and young girls out there?
Don’t ever compare yourself to others. We are all unique and beautiful in our own way. Do what makes you feel beautiful and you will be happy, don’t let anyone tell you other wise.
