I feel like lately I’ve been into skin and hair care products. I’m definitely known to switch up different beauty products because…. Well, life’s too short. However, when I find a product that gives me the results I’m looking for then I stay loyal for life. OUAI hair products does exactly that. Yes, you will be seeing a lot more of this brand on my blog. If you don’t know anything about OUAI haircare (meaning “Yes” in French, pronounced “way”) then let’s start with the founder – Jen Atkin or simply “hair god” because her work is nothing short of perfection. Jen is a celebrity hair stylist who came out with her own brand of hair care and as we all know this can go one or two “OUAI’s” but I really think this brand is one of the best products out there.
OUAI is a simple, luxury hair care product that is affordable. I am big into scents and rather than using one scent for the whole line, each product has its own unique blend of soft, light, and fresh scents. The brand caters to the modern day woman because we’re busy AF and need hair care products “…that looks dope enough to Instagram, but epic enough to actually get the job done.” Not to mention the brand doesn’t test on animal and it’s free of parabens and sodium chloride. Below is a list of all the products I’ve been using. Check it out! leave a comment if you’ve tried this haircare brand or want to take the leap and give it a go. I’d be happy to answer any questions based on my own experience.
Wave spray– I am in love with all of the OUAI hair products, however, by far my favourite one is the wave spray. I always want my curls to look effortless. I avoid using hair spray unless it’s necessary even then less is more for. To find a product that gives me a lot of volume, looks effortless and smells nice is a huge sell in my book.
Finishing Crème– I curl my hair all the time! in fact, I don’t remember the last time I had straight hair. This also means a lot of heat goes into making this “I woke up like this” look (I didn’t). What the finishing Crème does is protect your hair from heat. It says its suppose to smooth your ends but I didn’t get this result. It does, however, add a bit of a shine to your hair.
Rose Hair & Body Oil – You guys know how much I love a good multitask product and body oil. This rose hair and body oil helps seal in moisture and shine. It also protects against UV and heat damage plus gives you a glow when applied on your skin.
Dry Shampoo– In all fairness I haven’t yet used the dry shampoo but I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. I figured I should buy it and give it a try. When I get around to it I’ll do an updated post for this.
So, in the words of Jen “get a bottle, pop a bottle and transform into the epitome of the OUAI girl; not a celebrity, but everyone thinks you are because your hair is perfect and you smell like you speak French.”
