No Sugar Or Meat For 30 Days

 

If you’re like me then you’re probably not a fan of the word “diet” I’ve never been the girl to go on them or even attempt too. I think eating right and exercising makes perfect sense for long term results. I do, however, believe in cutting out certain foods from my diet, more as a lifestyle change. I think we all thrive to gain more energy, feel stronger, and overall healthier when it comes to food intake. Because of this, I’ve decided to do a “No sugar or meat” November challenge or what I refer to as a “jump start” to  healthier lifestyle.

WHY: Lifestyle change. It’s important to pay attention to what’s going into your body and how it’s affecting your overall health. I’m not an expert on all things health and wellness I just know what works for me and I love sharing these tips with you guys. Hopefully so that it inspires you to make healthier choices as well. Plus, sugar is the devil. It causes mood swings, fatigue, and even worst a craving for more sugar. Meat, of course, is known to carry the highest risk of all foodborne illnesses and that alone scares me.

WHAT’S ON THE GROCERY LIST: Listed below are foods that help build lean muscle, increase energy and contain significant amount of nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants. Of course, there is more but I wanted to list a few so that you guys get a sense of what’s in my grocery bag for the next month.

  • Eggs
  • Salmon
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Tuna (Yes, I’m keeping fish on the list. I’m no vegan or vegetarian)
  • Soybeans
  • Tilapia
  • Kidney beans
  • Chickpeas
  • Peanuts
  • Almonds
  • avocado
  • Apples
  • Beets
  • Brown rice
  • Leafy Greens (Kale, spinach, etc.)
